US Airways



US Airways based out of PHL has officially confirmed that it will be launching new daily nonstop flights from its PHL hub to TLV-Tel Aviv, Israel from July 2nd 2009. It will be using an A 332 to fly this route and its flight timings are as follows:

US 796 Dep PHL 2115 Arr TLV 1515+1
US 797 Dep TLV 2350 Arr PHL 0510+1

Emirates


The Nigerian and UAE governments will be amending their bilateral accord which will allow more designated carriers from each country to fly between them. Under the new treaty, Emirates is expected to be granted double daily flight rights into Lagos as well as flying rights to the capital city i.e. Abuja.

TAAG Angola


Taag of Angola has announced that it will be adjusting capacity on its main long haul international route i.e. LAD-LIS by using a mixture of B 772ERs along side its B 743s during the up coming winter season. The B 772ERs will be used twice a week where as the B 743s will be used 4 times a week on the Luanda-Lisbon route.

Air One Italy



Air One of Italy has officially confirmed that it will be increasing services on its core long haul route i.e. nonstop Milan-Chicago from 6 weekly to daily flights effective Nov 20th 08. AP will be using an A 332 to fly all the daily nonstop flights.

Transaero Russia



Transaero of Russia has finally released officially its long haul schedule for its network valid for the up coming Winter 08-09 season. The main highlights are as follows:

DME/LHR - double daily nonstop using a B 737-400.


DME/MLE
- 2 weekly B 772ERs + weekly B 763ER

DME/HKT - 5 weekly B 772ERs from end December.

DME/GOI - 2 weekly B 744s

DME/BKK - 6 weekly B 772ERs + 2 weekly B 763ERs.

DME/DPS - 2 weekly B 744s.

Continental Airlines



Continental Airlines
has announced that it will be increasing capacity on its EWR-Berlin (TXL) route from November onwards in order to fly the route nonstop without a payload restriction particularly in the cargo belly.

Currently, CO uses a B 757-200 (daily) on this route but will change equipment to the Boeing 767-200ER which can carry 170 pax in a 2 class configuration + up to 7 tonnes in the cargo belly.
